I was hoping "3rd Space" would feel more friendly, but the owner (or someone who seemed like the owner) was sitting at a table, frowning at their laptop, which didn’t make for a very relaxed atmosphere. We ordered and paid at the counter, and when the food didn’t fit on our table, I asked to move to a bigger one. They said we could sit anywhere, but didn’t help carry the dishes and drinks, and overall the service felt very dry. It might be fine if you’re going with the mindset of a "self-service pub" rather than a "restaurant".

By FAR the best pizza! I have a little ritual.. Every time I travel to a new state or move to a new suberb (which happens often) I order a capricciosa from all the pizza joints in my area.. After at least 13 years of doing this, 3rd space takes gold.. Quality pizza and friendly service and staff. This place is my fav, and I'm so glad that I live around the corner!!

When the in-laws ask for a restaurant suggestion for family dinner, my first thought "3rd Space". The food is consistently delicious, the service is excellent, and the whole place has that warm, family feel. A big thank-you to Alex and his staff for the wonderful setup and for always going above and beyond. 10/10 — highly recommend! Honestly, this place is such a gem. We Park family are well-known around Canberra for two things: 1. our love for good food, and 2. our ability to eat like it’s an Olympic sport. From grandparents to the little ones, we’ve all got high standards — not just for taste, but for the joy a good meal can bring. And this place… it ticked every box. The meat was so tender it practically dissolved before I could even chew. The pizza was rich, fragrant, and full of flavors that made us stop mid-conversation just to appreciate the bite. Every dish felt like it was prepared with care, not just cooked. We couldn’t find a single thing to criticise — except maybe that we couldn’t eat more. But it wasn’t just the food. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care that we enjoyed our time. They made our family feel welcome, like we weren’t just another table to serve. We laughed, we shared plates, and for that evening, all that mattered was good food and the people we love around the table. That’s rare these days. So yes — five stars. Not because it’s trendy, but because it gave us what every great restaurant should: food that fills the stomach, and moments that fill the heart. We’ve found our new family favorite.
