Typical Sydney – Overpriced, Pretentious, and Poor Quality. I’m over it! What an absolute disappointment. The food was awful, the wine was a rip-off, and the service was just as bad. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Gris from Orange for $64, thinking it would be great (I’ve had some lovely wines from Orange before). What we got was flat, stale, and had that awful gassy taste. I checked the label — it was from 2017which for a white wine basically means old and gross. Normally, white wines have between 1-3 years expiry date. Of course unless they are super premium but quite rare. When I complained, the waiter replaced it, but I couldn’t help noticing they’d popped next door to the wine shop to buy a fresh bottle! The new one was definitely better, but when I looked it up later, it only cost $18 retail. Yet, they still charged us$64. Total scam. The food wasn’t any better — the eggplant was old, soggy, and tasted like it was close to rotting. Overall, just another overpriced, pretentious Sydney restaurant with zero quality control and inflated prices. Don’t waste your money here. Replying to the owner of the restaurant who didn’t take the review well. Dismissing feedback instead of addressing it doesn’t reflect well. I shared my honest experience because I think customer feedback matters. Your response says a lot more about your attitude than my review ever could, and judging by other recent reviews, I’m not the only one who feels this way. I hope you take the criticism as an opportunity to improve rather than attack customers.

Extremely nice little Italian restaurant down in Leichhardt. Lovely, cozy and elegant interior with amazing and friendly staff. The food was also phenomenal, big portions, amazing taste - we left (almost rolling) very happy! Thanks for having us team!

We had Father’s Day lunch here today and everything was perfect. We were especially impressed with Asako who served our table. She was knowledgeable about food and drinks and made good recommendations. I loved my pizza, my husband can’t stop raving about his lamb shoulder, the cocktails were so delicious and we concluded with the amazing pistachio tiramisu. Thank you Asako for making our lunch so memorable. This review is dedicated to you, a good waitress can make a huge difference!

Awesome food, service and drinks This is owned by Osteria Capriccio on the same street. The owner knows about good food. It’s a larger venue and as it established itself I feel it will become a good night spot for drinks and eats. We went early and had fantastic bread, pizza and salads. It’s licience but during the week ( not Friday) you can BYO and we did this. The staff are friendly ( like new places a bit keen) and the restaurant has a playful vibe. The décor good. Tables are mixed so you can grab a group of your friends or go with your partner. Welcoming of all singles, couples and nationalities. Bathroom clean and parking available around the streets. Amazing experience at Aperitivo Pizza & Pasta! The food was absolutely delicious – everything from the wood-fired pizza to the fresh pasta dishes was full of flavor and clearly made with quality ingredients. The drinks were refreshing and beautifully presented, especially enjoyed sipping on a cold beer in the afternoon sun. Service was friendly and attentive, with staff making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting – perfect for a casual meal with friends or a date night. Loved the outdoor seating and the warm, welcoming vibe overall. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area. Will definitely be coming back!
