The best dining experience I have had in Sydney. Having to book this birthday dinner at 7am one month in advance during peak season was a struggle, but it was well worth it. Walking in, we were placed right next to the open fire which was an incredible experience, and incredibly intimate, especially once our phones were taken away. That being said, service could have been a bit more attentive for the small size of the venue. We shared 1.1kg of steak between the two of us, along with two rounds of bread with bone marrow butter candle, Prociutto crusted bone marrow, scallops, potato, and the Brussels. Steak was cooked to perfection over the open fire, and bone marrow and Brussels were PERFECTION. The scallops were alright, and I wouldnโ€™t get the potatoโ€™s again. Canโ€™t wait to bring more guests to share this experience with me on another special occasion.

We had an amazing time. Steak was perfectly cooked and flavouring was phenomenal, Brussel sprouts were delicious and also loved the Bone marrow and Pizza dough. Service was warm, attentive and professional. They make you put your phone away and lock it in a little lockbox so you can focus and enjoy the experience.

Lovely lovely dinner at Bistecca โ€ฆ the bread with the tallow candle blew me away. The rosemary and salt in the bread shone through and tasted like steak with the tallow:) The steak - wonderful. Love the char, the texture and the flavour. The โ€œno phonesโ€ policy is abit roll eyes tho I respect that. As I respect that butcher who was sawing away on the steaks. Hardโ€ฆ Two of us - we had a great bottle of wine, charred brussel sprouts and 1kg of quality steak. Tho almost $100 for 2 cocktails just before the mealโ€ฆ wow. Granted, we chose the spirits. Lovely experience.

The food was amazing, particularly the steak. All the sides we got were amazing (Brussel sprouts a hero here) We ordered 800g between 2, which was probably perfect. I will say that I felt like the servers were all quite pushy when it came to drinks. My partner and I were asked by 3 separate servers when we would get another cocktail, and it was worded more in the sense that we SHOULD get another cocktail. Current steak cost $21/100g

Sophie and the host (forgot to get her name) took care of our dining experience and it was all great! Food and drinks were to die for. Ambience was so comfy. Steak was the best we've had in a LOOONG while and my partner is a grill chef so we had high expectations. Did not disappoint!! Will definitely come back a million times more โ˜บ๏ธ
