So very disappointing. This is not an authentic Italian restaurant, there are a few further up the road that are light years away from this. We ordered a very average chicken parmigiana, overcooked and accompanied by a substandard coleslaw. The pizza had very little cheese on it, I have honestly had better frozen pizzas. The service was fine and the staff were polite but whoever was working in the kitchen needs to look at a career change. This establishment has changed from when I last visited and the food served tonight was unacceptable, Perth generally has a high standard of Italian restaurants, this is most certainly not one of them, not recommended.
I had dinner here last night and it was absolutely wonderful. The pasta was cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and you could really tell everything was fresh. The staff were warm and attentive, and the atmosphere felt cozy and authentic — just like being in Italy! A lovely place for a relaxed evening. Highly recommended!
I ordered the vongole pasta on the special menu and when it was first served, it looked good. Unfortunately, it was the most tasteless vongole I have ever tried in my life. What triggered me even more was that the meat in the clam shells were literally non-existent. I was pathetically scraping for meat from the shells. I paid 40 AUD for this plate of vongole and it is unjustifiable. I could get vongole pasta of much higher quality at other places for 30 bucks. Please do better and improvise your recipe. Will not come back again. Pizza and mussels were alright though.
What a great little find in East Perth. Had something else to attend and thought why not find somewhere in the city for dinner. What a place, from the moment we walked in the feel was just beautiful. Due to road closures because of its wellington street location we parked about a ten minute walk away. Don't let this stop you from visiting! Plan ahead and head to this restaurant. You will not be disappointed. Best gnocchi I've ever had. My word, what an absolute gem. Absolute credit to the gentleman who owns it, his chefs and staff. Thank you for having us 🫶🏻
5 stars for their food. 4 stars for their service. My partner and I were standing at the front for awhile waiting to be seated...or even acknowledged at all, for what felt like 5 minutes, at the same time multiple waitresses were walking past us and avoiding eye contact. The guy making pizzas at the front looked over a couple of times. He said nothing, a simple hello would have been something at least. It didn't feel very welcoming. However once we were finally seated that's when the night improved and we were pleased the meals arrived quickly and were delicious! The table service was friendly and polite. Although traditional restaurant etiquette is never clear the plates from the table until everyone has finished eating, unless requested to do so. Unfortunately when this happened one feels rushed and the waitress ends up leaning over me while I'm eating. Probably comes down to inexperience. But overall I highly praise the chef's, the food was fresh and very tasty indeed, great flavours! The wait-staff on the other hand just need a bit of fine-tuning.
