Seriously good food. ๐คค Surprisingly not well known. Definitely worth a visit. The crab buchatini was ๐ค๐ค๐ค. Properly al dente and jammed full of flavour. Discovered it has a hat only when we were paying and it is well deserved. Excellent service from Paula too ๐
I took my boss and colleague here for a work dinner. The food and atmosphere were lovely and the service was great. We ordered two pastas and the steak, and the potato bread work butter. The pastas were the star dishes. Cooled to perfection with the most perfect sauces that really carried the experience! Iโd give the steak a miss, but absolutely recommend ordering the pasta. Canโt wait to go back!
Fantastic restaurant; & service Great menu; all dishes well executed and use high quality produce. Northern Irish Chef who is passionate about quality and consistent execution. Well executed dishes with classic technique with a bit of Irish twist thrown n eh the most divine potato bread, gravlax and treacle and Guinness bread you will come across. A menu to suit all palates and vegetarian options. Comprehensive and well chosen wine list. This is my fourth visit to this restaurant - it delivers to an exceptional standard every single time. Wish this restaurant was busier as they truly deserve to be full every service. We had a friend visiting Sydney from Ireland - head chef Stephen came out to our table to introduce himself and also prepared an Irish style mash as a comp to go with our mains. Incredible - it made our week.
Fillet steaks were medium not medium rare. Sticky date pudding was dry and we suspected it was not made the same day. The service was good but the kitchen let them down Nice room, but we would not be going back at these prices. There are just too many alternatives where they get it right. Try Hubert instead.
We had a fantastic experience at Bistro George on a quiet Wednesday evening. From the moment I arrived, Ned made us feel welcomeโfriendly, attentive, and happy to walk us through the menu. While we had already decided on the steak, the rest of the menu was seriously tempting. The starters and potato bread were excellent, and the steak was perfectly cooked and generously portioned. When we couldnโt choose a mustard, we asked for all of themโand they kindly brought the full selection. The real highlight was the hospitality. Paula was warm and engaging, and Chef Stephen came out for a quick chat. When we asked about how to make a great cafรฉ de Paris butter, he generously shared a few tips. That kind of personal connection made the evening feel extra special. Weโll definitely be backโthis isnโt just a special occasion spot; itโs somewhere weโd return to any time.
