I had the artichoke entree from the specials list and then the slowed- cooked wagyu beef brisket, also from the specials menu. I finished with the self-saucing chocolate pudding. Altogether excellent food and the service was impeccable. Overall, a great experience.
What an incredible experience! We had our work lunch there last week, and wowโeverything was exceptional! The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. The staff were friendly and attentive, the dishes were bursting with flavour and beautifully presented, and the setting had a bit of a character! Perfect for any occasion!
If I could give this restaurant 1000000 stars, then I would !!!! I am from Perth and I will continue to come here every time I am in Melbourne. The food is astronomically delicious. Caterina, the owner, is a beautiful lady with a heart of gold. She is always present in her restaurant on the floor, helping out wherever she is needed. She is personable and remembered me and my mum from over 12 months ago. The beef carpaccio was so fresh and there was a perfect balance between the lemon juice, olive oil and salty parmesan. The morton bay bug pasta is also phenomenal and so flavoursome. The food is fresh, the flavours are amazing and it is simply perfect. I could not rave about this restaurant more. If you havenโt been, you must go asap !!!!
Loved by Melburnians since 1995, Caterinaโs Cucina e Bar is a Melbourne institution dedicated to turning out sophisticated, traditional Italian lunches. We thought the pork chops are great. And they serve a large selection of wines and beers. There are multiple daily specials that is not in the menu that the servers would passionately present to diners.
Never heard of this place until a friend of my partnerโs recommended it to us. Quietly tucked away downstairs, you feel like youโve escaped to Italy upon arrival. We loved the crowd and we loved the food. Beautiful flavours and generous servings. It didnโt just live up to the hype, it exceeded it. This is definitely one of Melbourneโs best hidden gems.
