Such a perfect spot for celebrating our anniversary. Incredible fresh, absolutely delicious food, a charming Italian waiter, and a cozy-classy vibe that set the mood just right for our special night. Not cheap, but worth every delicious penny. We loved seeing the owner genuinely working the room, such a lovely personal touch. To top it off, we popped across the street to Elba Bar (owned by his brother!) for a flirty little cocktail. Already dreaming about our next date night there, so much fun. ๐ธ๐โค๏ธ
We made a booking three days in advance and Iโm glad we did, as it was quite busy for a Friday night. The service was very attentive, and we ordered the $109 three-course set with drinks (we were absolutely full by the end!) The dessert was especially amazing, definitely not to be missed.
Centonove is a refined Italian spot in Kew thatโs perfect for a proper night out. The atmosphere is polished and a little more formal than most, but still warm and welcoming. Service is attentive, the food is excellent, and itโs the kind of place youโd happily return to for a special dinner.
We were invited to an education dinner tonight held at Centonove, and the experience overall was very enjoyable. The event took place in a private upstairs area, which was exclusively reserved for our training session. It was a great setting for a more intimate and focused evening. The food was a definite highlight. I had the scallops to start, which were fresh and well-prepared, followed by a beautifully cooked pan-fried barramundi. For dessert, the chocolate fondant was rich and indulgent โ a perfect way to end the meal. My colleague ordered the beef carpaccio, BBQ pork, and pannacotta, and they were equally pleased with their dishes. The quality and presentation of the food were impressive across the board. One small issue was the setup of the table and presentation equipment. The placement of the projector and monitor could have been better thought out, as staff occasionally bumped into the equipment or unintentionally blocked parts of the screen while serving. It didnโt detract too much from the evening but is something that could be improved for future events. All in all, it was a great night โ good food, attentive service, and a productive learning experience. Would happily return, whether for another event or just a nice dinner.

Favourites: 1. Zucchini blossoms. Magical. Prawn artfully stuffed into a zucchini blossom, fried with the thinnest layer of batter. It was delicious and we wanted MORE! 2. Fried local calamari. Amazing batter and again, their fried game is phenomenal. The fried mint gave more character to he dish and I was glad there was so much of it! ๐ 3. Spaghettini with crab. Crunchy pieces of pangrattato with a silky, glistening yellow sauce. Spaghetti was on point with some bite, and the combination of chilli, crab and garlic is a tale as old as time. So yummy. ๐ฆ The duck dish came with sides as well, so I didn't think we needed to order the additional sides. They were great though! ๐ค The service was great at times yet also there didn't seem to be much communication between the staff. ๐ The brunette waitress thoughtfully split out the entrees and mains in a way that we weren't overloaded by having all the entrees at once. Our fried calamari came out with the spaghettini pasta! I loved this intention. โ However, in between finishing our first mains and waiting for our second, we were asked by 2 different servers if we wanted to see the dessert menu? I already ordered dessert, and we were still waiting for our 2nd mains... lack of communication between staff is not something I would've expected. ๐ The staff also made the dinner so special for my friend's birthday. A candle and a singing! Thank you!
