Consistently good. Love love love their marinara pasta (it's my favourite pasta in Melbourne). It's a good sign when half the guests are Italian ๐ We tried their express lunch, which was good but som combinations of the dishes made it actually more expensive than ala cart do be mindful of that!
Service friendly and attentive. The restaurant is supposedly owned by Italians but all staff are Filipino which was odd. Food well priced for area compared to other restaurants. The tables are spaced apart sufficiently so it's not so noisy. Atmosphere nice enough but a little dated, especially the shared toilet upstairs. As for food, caprese salad, sourdough bread nice. Calamari was more bread topping than Calamari itself. Vegetarian gnocchi was nice but serving size smaller than expected. Special Fettuccine with ragu sauce was very nice. Steak was OK but a little fatty. Spaghetti marinara nice but not enough seafood. The special Snapper of the day was lovely and well presented. Sides of chips and cos lettuce were fine. The affogato was huge with so much ice cream. Would recommend to others and happy to return.
Love the atmosphere in Cosi and the server for us was friendly, warm and refill our drinks so promptly! Great service! The pasta and risotto were my favourite, followed by the desserts ! I had gone back twice because of the reliable quality of the food and service.
A Melbourne classic Italian restaurant with outstanding food, service, and atmosphere. The rib eye is exceptionalโtender, juicy, and full of flavour. Fresh seafood pasta, excellent cocktails, and warm, attentive service make it perfect for dates or taking friends visiting Melbourne.
A hidden Italian gem in South Yarra! I stumbled upon this cozy little restaurant while walking down the main street at night โ I had no idea itโs been open for 28 years! The place is small and understated, with 99% of the guests being locals. The front is a wine bar glowing in warm red light, surrounded by wooden wine cabinets โ the ambience is just perfect. ๐ Seafood Linguine Their signature dish โ the tomato base is rich and flavorful, and the pasta perfectly al dente. But the real surprise was the scallops and clams โ unbelievably tender, even stealing the spotlight from the pasta itself! ๐ฅฉ Cotoletta Milanese My first time trying fried steak โ not greasy at all! Each bite combines a crispy crust with juicy beef, topped with parmesan. Absolutely delicious โ a must-try! ๐ Mediterranean-Style Grilled Fish The fish is soft and moist, paired with tomato sauce underneath that blends beautifully with the flavor โ rich and satisfying. ๐ฆช Oysters Big, fresh, and plump! The lemon and balsamic dressing adds the perfect balance โ smooth and refreshing in every bite. ๐ธ To top it off, the staff surprised us with two free shots after the meal โ such a lovely gesture! If youโre into beautiful food and cozy vibes, this is definitely the place for your next date night. โค๏ธ
