We were a late arrival - sadly my table missed out on the t-bone ( get it this happens) or what ever it’s called (didn’t bother me). Mia and Marco were amazing, quick, easy, great service and food and wine slayed! We will be back as my friends need to try the t-bone after how amazing the rest of the food was!
We went for a Sunday lunch, we sat in the outdoor terrace, the whole restaurant is nicely decorated, feel very comfortable, it is not too busy at the time. Both of the waitresses are very kind, welcoming and efficient. There is no rush from one course to another one, great for a longish relaxing lunch. Bread is very very tasty, it's like a mini pizza with lots of herbs and the texture is the dough is beautiful. We had calamari which is pan fried with lots of olive oil with lots of pesto and it is spicy, great to have a leftover sauce with the bread. You can see from the photos of all other courses we had, we found the Italian food there has a lot of middle eastern or North African influence with the use of nuts, pomegranate, spices.., we really enjoy it, so different from the usual Italian food we have in most other restaurants. The glass of dessert Chianti is a surprise, first time to have it as a dessert wine, so nice. Definitely will come back, since the bread is so nice, will try their pizza next time.
Came here for my birthday and it was amazing! The service was flawless and made the night feel special. The food was out of this world… the bone marrow was beautiful, the lamb ragu was divine and the pistachio tiramisu was the absolute highlight. The whole place had such a lovely vibe stylish, cosy and perfect for a celebration. Can’t wait to go back!
An intimate, Italian dining experience: We were pleasantly surprised with the food and flavours of Divino - the service was also outstanding. If i were to recommend one dish, it’d be the Diavola Pizza if you’re ok with spice, the hot honey was the highlight. Food: We ordered the woodfired pane bread and it was cripsy, dense and soft on the inside. Perfectly salted and flavoured. The octopus and kingfish crudo were also great, though we preferred the crudo. The squid ink spaghetti was another star dish, perfect if you like a seafood pasta. Atmosphere: There’s outdoor seating and quite a few tables inside, reservations are required. I appreciate that the music isn’t too loud which makes for a perfect date spot. Staff were very attentive and friendly which made for a great night.
We had the most incredible experience.. honestly the best. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and welcoming, and the food… absolutely unforgettable. The mushroom truffle risotto was perfection rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The pistachio lamb was DIVINE! My partner is Italian and a chef himself, and even he couldn’t stop raving about it (which says everything!). And the cannolis… wow. Probably the dessert you didn’t know you needed. Light, crisp shells with the perfect filling we’re still dreaming about them. Whether you’re local or just visiting Sydney, this place is a must-try. Authentic Italian food, beautiful atmosphere, and such lovely people behind it all. We can’t wait to come back! Ps: lots of gluten free options!!!
