The most beautiful dining room in all of Melbourne! You’ll feel like you’re on holiday in Europe. Waitstaff are all clearly trained very well, and they are very attentive about dietary requirements. They also have an impressive non-alcoholic menu. I tried non-alcoholic rosé for the first time. The food was spectacular. I got oysters, scallops and risotto. As a dairy-free, pork-free diner, I find it hard to eat at Italian establishments sometimes, but this was surprisingly easy. The risotto was so perfectly creamy yet not watery at all. They’re very generous with starters and a palate cleanser at the end, which they do not charge you for. Honestly, I left very full and my wallet didn’t feel emptied for the experience I got.
Came here for dinner with a reservation and had the 'Gran Four' tasting menu which included seven dishes as well as some starter snacks, sourdough bread and pre-dessert palate cleanser which was not listed on the menu. Most of the dishes were very tasty; highlights were the scallops encased in a light crispy coating, the lobster risotto which has a condensed seafood and cheesy taste with a few big pieces of lobster to enjoy, and the duck tortellini which was rich and savoury with a nice al dente texture. The strawberry sorbet was also very good with a naturally sweet and refreshing taste. Service was friendly and attentive, each dish was explained in detail and the course took around two and a half hours to finish.
Came here twice to celebrate my partner’s birthday! We had set menus and paired with amazing wines. Each dish presented very beautifully and tasted absolutely delicious. Oh the tiramisu…omg. It’s THE BEST I have ever had. Not mention the gorgeous luxurious interior you are surrounded while you’re eating. The service was 10 out of 10. Pure profession. Would love to be back again…
What a lovely experience at Florentino last Friday afternoon. Staff were fantastic and the food delicious. A perfect long lunch in Melbourne, the room is stunning.
We visited this restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a mostly pleasant experience. The entrées and antipasti were absolutely delicious, and the drinks were well-made. We really appreciated how attentive the two male servers were; one of them even noticed I didn’t enjoy my drink and kindly swapped it out for something I'd like better, which was a lovely touch. However, the experience did have some inconsistencies. While the mains were okay, the off-menu tiramisu we ordered for dessert was quite disappointing. It was overly sweet and didn’t have that classic espresso flavor we were hoping for. Additionally, the presentation was a bit messy. When we mentioned this feedback to another server, the response we received felt a bit dismissive, which was a noticeable contrast from the otherwise great service we had earlier in the evening. In the end, it left us a bit disappointed. Overall, we’d say it’s a place with some really good highlights, especially on the appetizer si
