This place has been our family favorite for years and never disappoints. Pizza is absolutely amazing. Love the atmosphere and the service:). Would however recommend booking in advance.
Food is good, but service is bad, a bit racism. Not recommended to Asian. They seated us in a location we did not want, even though there were two empty tables available just next to each other. Before sitting down, we asked whether it was possible to change seats, but our request was refused. After we were seated, we asked again and were given a ridiculous explanation: those tables were โreserved,โ and if we wanted to sit there we would have to wait another hour. This made no sense, as it would have only required a simple switch, and our reservation time was actually earlier. Despite this, we were placed in a poor seating area for no valid reason. It was truly a bad dining experience.
Staff today were so beautiful. Thank you Ladies we were extremely happy with your attentive service. Food was outstanding also. Nothing was too much trouble. All our dishes were very good and we had a great time. Grazie
4.6 stars Venue: Like a little cottage at quite a corner. Street parking. Open kitchen with woodfire pizza oven at left hand side. Bar on the right side. Big wall mounted TV displays Italian scenes. Cozy and lively vibes. Able to talk. Limited tables. Reservation for rush hours is recommended. Luckily we got the last 2 spots at the bar counter when we walked in 6pm Friday. There are hooks at the bar counter for hanging our handbags - meticulous design. --- 7.7/10 Service: Busy. Very friendly staff. Efficiency. To be seated. Tap water was provided. Take order at table. Food served fast. Pay at the reception. --- 8/10 F&B: Italian cuisine. Normal food presentation. Normal portion. Reasonable prices. Mocktails: 1) Pina Ginger, $13; 2) Allegria, $13: beautiful --- 8/10 - Croquettes, $18/4pcs: chessy in the middle. Not enough ham. --- 7.3/10 - Ischia Prawns, $24 (S: 6pcs): served with toast. Lovely chilly tomato sauce --- 8.3/10 - Linguine alle Vongole e Cozze, $33: al dente pasta. There were 6 mussels and many vongole. Opt to add freshly grated cheese at table. Fillings were more than pasta, I like that. --- 8.5/10 - Panna Cotta, $14: served with strawberry coulis and hazelnuts. Wobbly. ---8.5/10 - Tiramisu, $15: tasty. Airy --- 8.5/10
We decided to go out for pizza. Iโd been waiting all week for it, the reviews looked amazing, and I was pretty excited. I show up, confident theyโd have gluten-free pizza options. Turns out, โgluten freeโ only applies to the pasta and mains. You can imagine the disappointment written all over my face. At that point, I honestly just wanted to leave, but since we had a booking and they wouldโve charged us for not ordering, I decided to give the place a chance. I went for the lemon scaloppine, the person with me ordered a Milanese cutlet. Now, when youโre paying 35 dollars for three thin slices of meat, you expect something excellent. What we got wasโฆ fine. Not bad, just nothing to write home about. At least the cocktail was good! The prices? A bit steep, though by now Iโve grown used to the Perth markup. The pizzas did look good though, if only they had a GFO... The atmosphere? Also fine, but nothing memorable. And yes, they even charge you $1 for a takeaway box. Says it all, really. So yes, Iโm giving it 3 stars. And honestly, I think Iโm being really generous.
