Booked dinner for my parents anniversary dinner. They loved the service, food and the generous portions they received. The service was above and beyond, surprising them with something little at the end to celebrate their anniversary. There was a minor error at the end of the evening, but Maria & Anna were extremely apologetic (which was not necessary but shows the care they have for the business) and decided they needed to make up for it (again not needed). In the end they were extremely generous, kind and gracious what they did and went above and beyond. We will definitely be back and can't praise them enough. Genuine customer service which is rare to find in businesses these days. Highly recommend.

We had a great time at K. Malu for our annual Christmas dinner with close friends. Our service staff was brilliant, such a lovely polite young man, calm and helpful. He explained the way we could consider ordering i.e. shared plates (which we did) and was happy to offer advice about quantities needed. The octopus doughnut for me had very little octopus, but the bread was superb. And our mains, the pork belly, spatchcock and risotto were amazing. In hindsight we should have ordered another pork belly as we had 2 men in our group of five. I loved the strawberry dessert as I am averse to chocolate or caffeine after 1pm and it was not too sweet. My husband and I have been to K. Malu a few times now and it offers consistently delicious food. The only reason I gave the 4 stars for atmosphere was that we were seated right in front of the kitchen and towards 7.30pm a table of 6 ladies at the other end were quite raucous. I know that seating can be an issue depending on bookings and our evening was not hindered by this, nor were our conversations and appetites. Thank you again for a wonderful night.

Celebrated our anniversary here. Entrees were all quite greasy and heavy taste of oilโ€ฆ Anchovy donut sounded amazing, executed poorly. Nothing was bursting with flavour or balanced out the grease so honestly a little disappointed seeing the amount of good reviewsโ€ฆ Gnocchi was not bad, but then again, mushroom gnocchi at that price l expect something good. The review about the invisible anniversary l second ittt. No expectation for a whole cake or a party but more just an acknowledgment at least or something special prepared. But they stuck us in the corner table with a vent/door that flung open mid dinner and would not move us. Never mentioned anything about our anni even though there was the option to select it. You may as well take it down if there was no point to it. I feel like this was just another part of why we were disappointed, if the food was great l would hold back commenting on this as much. Overall probs wouldnโ€™t recommend.

The invisible 25th wedding anniversary. The 3rd party booking engine attached to the restaurant's website asked to select if the meal was for a special occasion with various boxes you could select. I dutifully selected Anniversary and may have mentioned 25th wedding anniversary in additional comments, I am not positive about that. Not sure why the restaurant has that option turned on as when my son and wife and I turned up to celebrate for a meal that came in just over $300 before I added a $20 tip no mention was ever made of the reason we had chosen this restaurant. I understand some fine dining restaurants prefer not to make a fuss of these things which is absolutely fine, just don't ask about it in the booking and mention it in the confirmation emails if it won't be recognised on the night. It does set up some not unrealistic expectations, (as many restaurants do act on the advice they have requested), that waitstaff may mention it on arrival or acknowledge it at dessert time. So we actually mentioned it to the waitstaff after our desserts were served to which the response was "Happy wedding anniversary" and was then mentioned again by the waitstaff as we were leaving the restaurant at the end of the meal. Enjoyed the food, generally the service and atmosphere, but was somewhat surprised they ask about special occasions and then ignore it. Forgive the google name but genuine review and booking.

One of the best dining experiences weโ€™ve had in quite a while. The staff seemed to be such beautiful humans who genuinely cared about our experience. The food was as good as it gets and perfect portion sizes. Amongst some beauties, the winner for us was the pumpkin side dish! We both agreed itโ€™s the best thing weโ€™ve tasted in at least a year! Thanks so much and sorry about the half eaten photos. Keep up the amazing work guys, well done!
