Can not fault this restaurant! The perfect place for date night or a night out with the girls. We loved every single dish we tried with a special mention for the Arancini and ceviche 😍
Service is good but the food is very underwhelming. Their pasta does not taste freshly made, they taste like they've been dried and then cooked. The sauces were salty but the seafood they used was fresh and sweet. Waiter was clumsy and dropped used utensil on me, sleeve got stained. Overrated for the price
First time at NUG after reading the positive google reviews and let me tell you it was nothing short of AMAZING! Definitely a must when in Brisbane. Beautiful home made Italian food, best Aperol Spritz I’ve had in a long time, service was absolutely exceptional. The whole vibe was so warm and welcoming we felt like we had stopped in at our families for dinner. We will be back sooner rather than later. Thank you for an amazing dinner.
I couldn’t fault the food and the service was very friendly and attentive. Would recommend the croquette and arancini ball for the entree. Loved the Italian sausage and beef cheeks. Also loved their philosophy of buying locally sourced and seasonal produce. Would recommend sitting outside if possible as sitting inside near the kitchen did make our eyes water a little with the chilli being cooked.
Great service, super friendly staff, delicious food and nice wine list. The menu isn't overwhelmingly long and busy, which is great. (Under promise / over deliver) The food was great, however, I have only one suggestion to make it even better... When your pasta sauce is so incredible (that chilli shellfish bisque is to die for) to not give a tiny bit of focaccia in the end to clean the plate is criminal. I didn't lick my plate because my wife was there and I didn't want to embarrass myself, but I was dying for a small piece of focaccia.
