I recently visited Osso and tried two pastas: the beef pasta and the carbonara. The beef pasta was surprisingly good, I saw the recommendation in the reviews and the seasoning was on point, the flavor was great, and the presentation was excellent. The carbonara, however, was disappointing. It didn’t taste like a real carbonara at all. It was very eggy, watery (like a soup), not creamy, and had no noticeable cheese flavor. For the price, it felt like one of those instant carbonara packets rather than an authentic dish. Overall, I would return for other dishes, but I wouldn’t recommend their carbonara.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Osso Bar Italia is an absolute standout in Brisbane. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, vibrant, and effortlessly stylish. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and everything ran seamlessly. The food was exceptional — rich, authentic Italian flavours done properly. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of depth, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The wine selection perfectly complemented the menu and elevated the whole experience. Whether it’s a special occasion or just a great night out, Osso Bar Italia delivers on every level. Easily one of the best Italian dining experiences in Brisbane. We’ll definitely be back.

Where is the chilli oil at? We didnt get chilli oil, olive oil or balsamic which was definitely needed. I did the lunch special menu for $49 which was good value for money. The starter was a mix of calamari and focaccia. The focaccia was really dry and unpleasant. The calamari was good. The ragu pasta was really nice but needed more parmesan which wasn't offered. The rest of the group didn't enjoy the pizza or steak and complained it was too salty but lucky the ragu was nice. The service can be improved but wasn't terrible.

Nice corner locale with both ample indoor and outdoor dining areas. Menu is nice, pricing is fair. Great presentation but lacking flavour. Still enjoyable. Highlight was the lightly fried calamari to perfection.

The lobster pasta was outstanding, and the service was impeccable—attentive and efficient without ever being intrusive. I was also impressed by the spicy mushroom pizza: it was quite hot when warm, but as it cooled, the flavors mellowed beautifully and made it even more enjoyable. This restaurant has certainly become one of my top choices to return to.
