Fun place for nice dinner with friends. Lovely position on the water, great neighbourhood vibe, & lots of regular diners. Our dietary restrictions were understood & catered for, thank you. The spaghetti marinara was very yummy & I loved the addition of bugs. Good quality fresh food done very well. Eager to return.

Thank you for a Great dinning night out ! We were made to feel so welcome with such wonderful friendly service throughout the night. Both our meals were very plentiful & so very tasteful. We chose the veal meal which was so tender & the prawn dish, both came with the most delicious sauces. Finishing off with Tiramisu & Gelato desserts which also were great. It was so special & a lovely touch to have the chef come out to talk with us & check on how we felt about our meals. Topping it all off was the fabulous music from the great musician Joe. Thank you all ! Such a great team! We can thoroughly recommend this restaurant to everyone & we will certainly be back & bringing friends!

Tonight we had the pleasure of dining at Portofino Restaurant in Runaway Bay and it was a truly exceptional experience. Maria, the owner, and her team provided outstanding service, making us feel welcome and at home. The food was exquisite, with authentic Italian flavors and generous portions. We were thoroughly impressed by the quality and presentation of each dish. The value for money was also excellent. We’ll be back soon. Giulia was delightful and even taught us how to pronounce the Italian food they offer. Ja prepared some amazing lunch. The venue is situated at the Marina Bay where we had a good view at the beautiful yachts while enjoying our meals.

Stunning restaurant! Friendly staff the moment you walk in. No matter the reason, catching up with friends or family or a romantic date night Portofino - Italian Restaurant delivers. We were visiting family for a few days from Melbourne and wanted a lovely restaurant experience that would also cater to very severe food anaphylaxis. Before booking we did a lot of research for restaurants in the Gold Coast that would cater and there are not too many. Portofino - Italian Restaurant not only catered, but delivered beyond expectations. We order pizza regularly but our teen is lucky to eat 2 slices. Last night she ate almost an entire large pizza. She loved it! Beautiful flavour and not an allergen insight. If we could get this sent to us in Melbourne we would order for sure. If you are struggling to find somewhere to eat with an EGG or TREE NUT allergy head HERE!! The rest of us had pastas and the lamb and for entree the focaccia - Bellissimo 💋
