I donβt like eating Italian outside of Italy, as it tends to be homogenous. BUT PRIMI IS EXCITING AND DELICIOUS! Arancini was as good as in Sicily. The pasta and meats were outstanding. Desserts delivered and the treat of apple calvados was the cherry on top. Highly recommend running here to eat but get a resi.
It was an experience getting into this restaurant. Initially, I thought my family were being profiled because they ask for some form of pictured identification - which we comply. When asked they said because the premise sells alcohol, which I didnβt really buy because Iβve been to other alcohol serving restaurants and no ID was required. Perhaps we were being profiled. Anyways, love the food. I had the steak medium well. Canβt speak for the others. The services were great - the team there are super accommodating and friendly. That gave me an awesome experience.
This place has been on my list for very long. Walked in for lunch with my husband. We were greeted nicely and led to the best table in store!π Ordered calamari fritti, cosa nostra, crab ravioli. All were well cooked and tasted amazing! We both love this place. Wish they had more white sauce pasta, e.g., cacio e pepe πcuz I am not a fan of red sauceβ¦β¦
Lamb ragu is good but the pizza Margherita is too salty. I think cheese is more than tomatoes paste and I feel it is not authentic italian Margherita. Pizza tastes salty cheesy and less tomatoes. Another disappointed service is I make reservation a table on 6.30 pm and I finished food about 7.30 pm. I have a bit conversation with my family and I haven't finish a glass of wine. A staff asks me to pay for a bill and leave a table as soon as possible. The reason he said, a restaurant has another booking. I don't know why he did that cause it allow us to sit until 8.15 pm. I see other tables arrives earlier than my table are sitting in a restaurant. I don't why this restaurant gets 4.7 stars reviews which is more overate than I think with taste of food and quality of services.
There were a group of us from work who were in Sydney for a conference. We decided to find something nearby and had something for everyone - Primi was that place. Unusual booking experience where I received 6 emails and 2 texts within a couple of hours. That aside, friendly service and incredible crab ravioli. Fantastic wine recommendation also
