The atmosphere was underwhelming from the start. The space is extremely small and crowded, which could create a lively, charming vibe, but unfortunately the staff seemed stressed and disorganised, and it showed in the service. The entrΓ©es were excellent β€” delicious and served promptly. However, things went downhill with the mains. As soon as the server cleared the table (leaving cutlery placed directly onto the dirty surface, with no placemats), the mains were brought out immediately. It felt clear that the table was only cleared to rush the pasta out, which made the experience feel very hurried and uncomfortable. We asked if our mains could be served a little later. Our server was calm, understanding, and polite, but after speaking with someone who appeared to be his manager, he was instructed to put the food back on the table anyway. There was an awkward, last-minute explanation about β€œhow the kitchen runs their food.” We eventually managed to have the mains delayed β€” but when they finally arrived, they were cold. I ordered the spanner crab pasta (photo attached for comparison with their Instagram). For such a premium-priced dish, it was extremely disappointing. There was less than a quarter of the amount of spanner crab you would expect β€” and this is coming from someone who regularly cooks with it. I know that of course the Instagram version of it is going to look better (the flavour was great and I don’t mean to comment on the appearance) however it had barely any crab in it at all to justify it being a crab dish. Overall, for a restaurant that positions itself as high-end and charges accordingly, the rushed service, poor communication, and underwhelming main course were a big letdown.

It’s one of the best pasta restaurants in Sydney. Every pasta dish is cooked to perfectionβ€”creamy, flavourful, and deeply satisfying. They also offer a kids’ pasta, which is just as tasty. The tiramisu comes in a very generous portion, perfect for sharing. My personal favourite is the crab pasta, though honestly, everything on the menu is excellent. We were lucky to get a table without a booking, as this place is almost always full.

Great little italian gem in the CBD near Circular Quay Warf. The anchovy toast is the best and lives up to its reputation that preceded my visit. Also had the spicy pork and mozzarella croquettes, with chillies emulsion appetizer. I fallowed that with the Trottole, pork & fennel sausage, shishito. Have a good wine selection for the intimate size of the restaurant. Prices are extremely reasonable for the great quality of food. Only thing Ragazzi is not doing right is if they keep making such good food at such great prices they might be forced to find a larger location. If you look at my cost in the review dont be scared I had a nice bottle of Barbaresco with my meal (It cost more than the meal)

Had a wonderful dinner at Ragazzi. The restaurant was packed when we arrived, fortunately we had a booking. Despite the crowd, the service was attentive and the food was served without any delays. The standout dish for me was the beef tartare β€” incredibly fresh, beautifully seasoned, and paired perfectly with the nashi pear and straw potatoes. My friend absolutely loved the Ravioli of Jerusalem artichoke; the flavours were rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. The ambience, the food, and the overall experience made it a fantastic night out.

Food was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!! This was the first meal I’ve ever had in Sydney and it seriously didn’t disappoint. Service was amazing; our waiter (I unfortunately didn’t catch her name, but she had dark curly hair πŸ˜…) was so sweet and gave us the best recommendations. We had the burrata and the octopus to startβ€”both were incredible and we ended up adding on 2 more portions of octopus after the first one came. The mafaldine is an absolute MUST!!!! Dare I say the best pasta I’ve ever had πŸ§‘β€πŸ³πŸ’‹πŸ€ŒπŸ» will definitely be back!!!
