Had a wonderful experience at Sofia’s. We ordered the garlic bread, prosciutto and burrata for entrees which were all delicious. The cacio e pepe was incredible and very cool to see out of the cheese wheel! Great service and atmosphere too.

My husband and I recently visited this gem in Broadbeach after seeing their famous cacio e pepe on TikTok and wow, it did not disappoint! Usually if I have to much dairy, it’ll give me runs. Well this one didn’t!!! Anyway, we started by giving them a call ahead to check if they were still serving, and the staff advised us to arrive before 2:30 PM, which we really appreciated. After a quick shopping at Pacific Fair, we made it just in time to Broadbeach and were warmly welcomed. We ordered the beef carpaccio, fish of the day tartare, their signature cacio e pepe, and a spicy margarita (hands down the best I've ever had — perfectly balanced with just the right kick!). Our server, Leo, asked if we’d like all the dishes served at once. As two very hungry people, we said yes, but he suggested staggering them so we could fully enjoy each dish and he was absolutely right. Each plate came out perfectly timed, allowing us to savour every bite without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. The highlight? Watching Pao serve the cacio e pepe tableside straight from the cheese wheel its such a fun and indulgent touch that added to the whole experience. The food was outstanding, with generous but reasonable portions. The service was top-notch: friendly staff, attentive without being intrusive, our water glasses were never empty (a blessing in the warm Gold Coast weather), and the table was kept neat throughout. The relaxed ambience made it even better, stylish yet laid-back. Couldn’t recommend this place more. If you're ever in the Gold Coast and craving great pasta with exceptional service, this spot is a must-try.

We arrived without a booking and were advised the only seats available were at the bar. We happily accepted and had the most wonderful evening. The bar tenders were fun, engaging and talented. Dom and Matteo kept us entertained with their stories, antics and cocktail making prowess. Everyone was super friendly and willing to share a laugh. Oh and the food was pretty good too with the lamb being the highlight! Thank you to such a wonderful team!!!

Our server (Mao, I think) was simply delightful! Every now and then you come across someone who provides service straight from the heart, and he was definitely one of them. He made our night what one would call an experience. The food was overall good, with the cacio e pepe on the cheese wheel being a highlight — a little salty for my taste, but still delicious. The lamb was a straight up miss, not enjoyed by any of us but that’s okay. The atmosphere was also nice and added to the overall dining experience. The only feedback is that after Mao left, the service level dropped. The next server looking after us felt like the opposite of the care we’d been receiving. For a $500 meal, I’d expect consistency — water top-ups had to be asked for, and even then, only 2 out of 4 glasses were refilled by her. Odd. That said, overall, it was still good experience and I recommend dining here.
