Dined at Flotilla for lunch with my husband, we had the tasting menu with paired wines. Everything was fantastic, the presentation, service and of course the food and wine, were all impeccable :) The staff were lovely, and we enjoyed watching the chefs at work in the open kitchen area. We would highly recommend for a special treat and will happily return again

Flotilla in Newcastle was an absolute standout. We tried the summer set menu and every single dish was flawless from start to finish. The service was just as impressive—attentive without ever interrupting our conversation, which made the experience feel relaxed and thoughtful rather than formal. What really set Flotilla apart was how genuinely engaged the team was. The chefs came out to explain each dish and truly wanted to know what we thought, which added such a personal touch to the meal. The kingfish was my favourite dish of the night, perfectly balanced and beautifully prepared. The gin curd and sorbet palate cleanser was completely unexpected and honestly the best refresher I’ve ever had. From the oysters to the cucumber soup, tuna in nori, prawns with Thai bisque, wagyu, and finishing with the mango cheesecake—every dish was absolutely delicious. An incredible dining experience from start to finish. Highly recommend Flotilla to anyone looking for exceptional food and service in Newcastle.

Service was top notch!!!! Our waitress was fun and friendly and put up with our shenanigans. The bar tender was knowledgeable and I had the best Whisky Sours I’ve had in ages. The atmosphere was great. The food was delicious (steak tartare six stars!) but I think we should have gone off the normal menu instead of steak night as the steak choices were all too fatty for my liking. But overall would recommend and go back!

Such a delight! Beautiful, understated, and relaxed restaurant. Forgot I was in Wickham and not the Hunter Valley. The service was perfect. We had the express lunch menu which was so delicious and perfectly portioned. The flavours complimented each other so so well. Cocktails were also divine! Thank you for a lovely experience.

Excellent experience. Service was professional yet relaxed. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. Food was exquisite - so many interesting flavour combinations and presentation. Will definitely be back and have already been recommending to friends and family.
