Food was very good, except for the eggplant which the batter was a bit hard although sauce was good. Lily was excellent serving us that night which made our evening special. The cocktail was superb too!

We came in after walking past and feeling a good vibe, supported with great google reviews. We were not disappointed. Service and staff (particularly Lucas) were spot on. We were looking for a light meal so ordered the eggplant and broccolini. So good, the eggplant was caramelised with honey soy, chilli, garlic and peanuts. The broccolini complimented it perfectly. Plenty more interesting options on the menu to try. Highly recommend.

We went to Wilma for New Year’s Eve. Had a reservation so we didn’t have to wait for a table. Had a really nice night overall, made even better by our waitress Sofia — what a legend! She was smiling the whole time, super attentive without being overbearing, gave great suggestions, and genuinely made our night feel special. Big shoutout to her. We did tell her that had a gluten free person and she wrote on the docket everything to be GF when possible. We kicked things off with a couple of drinks that really set the mood for the night — great start. Food came out super fast for most dishes, which we loved, although a couple of plates did take quite a while, so pacing was a bit inconsistent. The tuna tartare was really yummy flavour-wise, but the chips didn’t really add anything and kinda looked a bit tacky. Presentation wasn’t great either. It also came with coriander, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu and we really don’t like it at all. We should’ve flagged it earlier, but by the time we noticed, it was too late (we reckon it was in the umami mayo?) The kushiyaki was delicious. The tiger prawn toast was tasty, but it didn’t feel like it had a lot of prawn. That said, the combo of sesame with the pretzel-like bread was absolutely superb. The squid was delicious — and GF too, great. I’d never had shiitake before, and this spring roll oddly tasted like salted caramel. Not sure if that was intentional or not, but it was definitely unexpected. The eggplant had an amazing mix of textures and flavours, but it was a bit overwhelming and too sweet for us in the end. We couldn’t quite finish it. The fried rice was hands down the star of the night. Incredible flavour — would 100% order it again. We also had the spanner crab for main… which didn’t quite make it. It wasn’t what we were expecting and the taste of the crab felt overshadowed by the coconut and papaya’s flavours. Lowest point along with the crab was definitely the brownie. It was super thin and a bit too gooey, and didn’t really live up to the rest of the meal. All in all, a really enjoyable experience, with some standout dishes and fantastic service. We’ll defs be back to try more of the menu.
