We went to Windy Point Restaurant for my birthday, my partner took me there as a surprise and wow, what an experience. We did the spring set course and were treated to the most breathtaking view overlooking all of Adelaide. Truly one of the most beautiful dining settings I’ve ever experienced. The food was nothing short of incredible. The starters came out as five little mini dishes to share, and every single one was delicious but the mushroom tart from the spring tasting menu was genuinely heavenly. I’m still thinking about it. The bread was freshly baked and served with butter that was so good it didn’t need anything else. simple, rich, and perfect. I honestly cannot fault a single dish from the entire set course. Every plate felt thoughtful, refined and indulgent without being overdone. From the moment we arrived, the staff were so welcoming, and our waitress was an absolute sweetheart. She was warm, attentive and made us feel completely at ease. They even went to the effort to put together a plate saying happy birthday for me at the end. Yes, it’s $135 per person, but Windy Point is the kind of place you go for a very special occasion, a once in a lifetime meal, or something truly memorable and it delivers on every level. I left feeling so happy and grateful for the experience. Without a doubt, this has been the best luxury dining experience I’ve had. An unforgettable night, incredible food and a view you simply can’t beat.

An Anniversary to Remember at Windy Point Restaurant Perched high above the landscape, Windy Point Restaurant proved to be an inspired choice for our early five-year wedding anniversary celebration (married Christmas Day 2020). From the moment we arrived, the experience felt thoughtfully curated and effortlessly refined. The views are nothing short of breathtaking—an ever-changing backdrop that elevates the entire evening. Service was equally impressive: warm, attentive, and intuitive, striking that rare balance of being present without intrusion. The degustation menu was the true highlight. Each course showcased remarkable craftsmanship, with bold yet balanced flavors that unfolded beautifully from start to finish. It was a dining experience that exemplified fine dining at its finest—considered, creative, and deeply satisfying. Our first visit to Windy Point Restaurant has set a high benchmark, and rest assured, it will not be our last—certainly not another fifty years before we return. Yes the view is great, but you get that from the lookout too. What makes the restaurant so worth it is the incredibly well curated menu, beautifully matched wines and the abdolutely brilliant service from the staff. The starter selection had a wonderful involtini, milk bread, mushroom tart and cornet with plum pearls amongst other things. The entree of confit chicken was delectable and my main of porchetta was truely "melt in the mouth". The featured dessert sounded lovely but the offered others were the winners on the day "chocolate melange" and "pear and date pie"- nom! Alix and the team looked after us exceptionally well through the evening turning a wonderful meal into a memorandum experience - thank you!

Sensational place to experience some fine dining and fine service. Venue that requires smart casual dress as a minimum and provides a great relaxing dining experience with views over Adelaide. Food was exceptional and service first class. A wonderful evening which we will definitely do again.

The degustation menu was outstanding — every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The oysters, beef, and dessert selection were absolute highlights, but honestly every course felt carefully crafted and balanced. What made the experience truly special was the attention to detail from the staff. They were attentive without being intrusive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. This restaurant holds a special place in our hearts, and coming back after many years felt like revisiting an old friend — only better. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fine dining experience in Adelaide.
